Creative Director for Event: World Championships of Surf Kayaking 2021/2022
This event is held every two years in different locations around the world. 2022 was hosted in Bude, Cornwall. Nearly two hundred competitors entered from across the world.
I had the privilege of being the creative director for this event and was approached in 2019 to begin this two year project. During Covid-19 I was able to continue working from home but the event was delayed for a year.
I offered a brief that was to use the Cornish flag colours where a mono logo was required and use full colour for posters, banners and media with a distinctive contrasting colour scheme, inspired by the autumn light on the ocean and sunset colours in Bude.

I collaborated with many product design companies to produce the vector and print-ready images you can see here on these commercial products created specifically for the event.

Commission: Shoreline International Ltd.
I was commissioned in June 2022 to create a design for the Quadrathalon and Triathlon events that Shoreline host each year. The client's brief was to use '2022' in some way. I produced this design where trainer tread marks, bicycle wheels and fluid lines representing the ocean with kayak paddle silhouettes run throughout each year number. It was also my idea to use the shoreline logo as the zero.
